Natural Gas from Renewable Sources
Today, biogas is generally used directly at the place where it is produced in a combined heat and power (CHP) plant. However, biogas can also be upgraded and fed directly into the natural gas grid. This way, the upgraded biogas (or biomethane) can be transported flexibly and efficiently to the place of use where the gas can be converted to more efficient energy forms (electricity, heat, vehicle fuel). PlanET has access to all of the leading methods of biogas upgrading thanks to its international technology network.
